During last year's Mutton Busting competition, Jackson managed to stay on his sheep for a 22-second ride. Colt is returning this year with the hope of beating that time. This young man from Keller, Texas caught the riding bug 'big time' after his victory last year. Since then he has won 14-buckles and believes he will win many more in the years to come.

Who Likes Rosa's Taco Tuesday?

Thousands of Texans love to eat at Rosa's restaurant, but on Tuesday's that enjoyment turns into excitement when they offer 'Taco Tuesday.' Not only is the food delicious, but the price is fantastic. Where else can you get three Tacos loaded with ground beef, refried beans, rice and wonderful tortillas for less that $5? My wife and I have been eating at Rosa's for years and on many occasions visiting there on Tuesday is an automatic thing. Something you should try, if you have not done so already, is to order a basket or two of sopapillas as well. For around $10, two people can get an excellent meal and get dessert on Tuesday's at Rosa's.

Hans From Die-Hard Has Passed Away

A man who had some of the best lines in movies, Alan Rickman, has passed away at the age of 69. The one I liked the best was the 1988 movie 'Die Hard'. Just check out some of these lines between he 'Hans Gruber' (Alan Rickman) and 'John McLane' (Bruce Willis).

Hans Gruber: [on the radio] Mr. Mystery Guest? Are you still there?

John McClane: Yeah, I'm still here. Unless you wanna open the front door for me.

Hans Gruber: Uh, no, I'm afraid not. But, you have me at a loss. You know my name but who are you? Just another American who saw too many movies as a child? Another orphan of a bankrupt culture who thinks he's John Wayne? Rambo? Marshal Dillon?

John McClane: Was always kinda partial to Roy Rogers actually. I really like those sequined shirts.

Hans Gruber: Do you really think you have a chance against us, Mr. Cowboy?

I will always remember Rickman's part in that movie. To me, Die-Hard would not have been as good without him. May he rest in peace.

Rent - Food Money Spent On Lotto?

I know it's not right to judge other people and I'm certainly not going to point anyone out here in particular, but as the amount of the Powerball Lotto grew over the first part of this week. I noticed something that troubled me. Each time I went into a convenience store to buy stuff, that long line of folks in the lottery line kept growing ever larger. I also noticed that the Texans who were in that lotto line did not appear to be from an upper income class of people. Instead, they looked poor.

That observation got me wondering if some Texans are taking money that should be used to pay the rent or buy food and medicine for the family and instead spending it on the lottery? I hope most folks are not spending the small amount of hard earned money they have in order to try their luck at becoming a billionaire.
