Took Pictures Of Girl While She Was Changing Clothes


CRAWFORD - Crawford Police are asking for help in identifying a man believe to be taking pictures of a minor while she was changing. The incident happened on July 2 at approximately 3:15 p.m. The victim was changing at a Crawford gas station when the suspect took pictures of her.

Little Boy (Age 10) Injured / 2 Killed In Houston Shooting


HOUSTON - Two people were killed and a 10-year-old boy injured after a shooting near downtown Houston. Houston Police said that four people were shot following an argument. The 10-year-old suffered minor injuries. Two others were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital. The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. off Wilson Street near Robin Street not far from Eleanor Tinsley Park, where the Freedom Over Texas celebration was held.

Big Sandy Woman Arrested After Leaving Dog In Hot Car


LONGVIEW - An East Texas woman was arrested on animal cruelty charges after leaving a dog in a hot car. Longview police officers were dispatched to an animal call in a parking lot in the 500 block of North 4th Street Sunday afternoon. When officers arrived on the scene, witnesses told them a dog that was inside a vehicle was in some kind of distress. Officers determined that the dog had apparently been left in the car for approximately an hour. One of the officers broke the vehicle's window and was able to rescue the dog. According to Longview police, the person responsible for leaving the dog inside the vehicle was identified as 40-year-old, Brandi Lea Matthews of Big Sandy. She was arrested for cruelty to animals and transported to the Gregg County Jail without incident.

Annabelle Cooper Drowns In Lake Travis Last Weekend


TRAVIS COUNTY - The family of Annabelle Cooper has released a photograph of the two-year old who drowned in Lake Travis Saturday evening. "It was heartbreaking. It was terrible," said Ralph Kemper. Kemper watched as first responders try to save the child. "They were doing CPR the entire time," he said. Paramedics said they performed advanced life support measures for more than an hour, but were unable to revive the toddler.

Suspected Robber Shot & Killed By Intended Victim


ARLINGTON - Arlington Police are still in the early stages of their investigation into a deadly shooting around 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 3 but say it appears a man trying to rob two people ended up getting killed. Police say it happened at a convenience store in the 3300 block of N. Watson Road. Police say when officers arrived, they found a man at the intersection of Mayfield and Carter with an apparent gunshot wound in a wrecked car.  He died. During the attempted robbery, the suspect was shot by one his intended victims and then tried to get away in his car.

Intoxicated Woman Endangers 9-Month Old Child


ARLINGTON - Police say they found a 9-month-old baby face down and covered in bug bites just feet from a creek in Arlington after an eight-hour search. According to Arlington police, authorities received a call from a homeowner who reported that a woman walked into her unlocked home with a 2-year-old child at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, police spotted Amanda Smith, who they said appeared to be intoxicated.

Fireworks Accident Leaves Teenager Hospitalized


SARGENT - A teenage boy is spending July 4th in a hospital bed, after a weekend fireworks encounter went very, very wrong. Rowdy Radford, just weeks away from 16 years old, lost several fingers and part of his leg and may lose his sight after the fireworks accident Saturday night in Sargent, Texas. His mother wants his story to serve as a warning to other parents to keep a close watch over their children.

19-Gunshots Fired At Fort Hood Soldiers In Park


NEW BRAUNFELS - A group of soldiers trying to calm down a fighting couple found themselves in the middle of a shootout in New Braunfels early Monday. The New Braunfels Police Department says the seven Fort Hood soldiers were at Prince Solms Park around 1 a.m. when they tried to stop the fight. Thinking everything was fine the soldiers went back to relaxing. But the soldiers told investigators the woman grabbed a gun from the couple's car and handed it to her boyfriend. Before the boyfriend even fired a shot the soldiers heard the slide being pulled on the pistol, chambering a round. The boyfriend is accused of firing 19 times at the soldiers as the scattered for cover.

Deputy Stephen K. Foster Found Drowned In Belton Lake


BELTON - Searchers who’d been looking for a missing Bell County Sheriff’s deputy since Sunday discovered the man’s body Monday morning near where friends reported he fell from a boat while fishing. Bell County Sheriff's Department spokesman Lt. T.J. Cruz said Stephen K. Foster, 35, of Belton, was found at about 8:10 a.m. Monday in some 26 feet of water. Foster was not wearing a life jacket. Cruz said the accident happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday when the man, who was in the front of the boat, somehow fell into the water.
