Travel From Austin To San Antonio In 15-Minutes On Future Train?

SAN ANTONIO TEXAS - San Antonio to Austin in 15 minutes? A local company says it can be done using a bullet train going up to 600 miles an hour, costing you less than $10 a ride. A development firm called Transonic Transportation is already doing research in San Antonio to figure out how to make this a reality. They say they can build a train that practically flies. At speeds of 600 miles per hour, the "San Antonio-Austin Hyperloop" will travel as fast as a commercial airline.

"You're sticking a high-speed rail in a steel tube and you're gonna be able to go a lot faster. That's one of the benefits. I honestly believe the greatest benefit is your energy consumption is gonna go way down as well as your operations and maintenance costs," said Joshua Manriquez, CEO of Transonic Transportation.

Roger Ailes Will Leave Fox News A Very Rich Man

NEW YORK - A bunch of folks here in Texas enjoy watching the Fox News Channel. However, when word began to spread that the big boss there Roger Ailes had been accused of sexual harassment some started to wonder what would happen to this man who built Fox News into the biggest name in the news business? If the latest reports are correct, Mr. Ailes will soon be leaving Fox News and someone new will be taking his place.

Roger Ailes' bosses must believe there is something to these allegations or they would not be terminating the employment of the one person who made them many millions of dollars. That said, it's a complete and total outrage for the leader of any company to sexually harass employees and to make matters even worse it appears that 20th Century Fox will pay Roger Ailes anywhere between $40 and $60 million in severance pay.

Honestly, how many people do you know who would be given that much money for leaving a company after allegedly sexually harassing women over a many years period of time? Is there no accountability left at the highest levels of corporate America?

Ted Cruz Says Vote Your Conscience Gets Booed At GOP Convention

CLEVELAND OHIO - Undercutting calls for Republican unity, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz stubbornly withheld his endorsement from Donald Trump Wednesday night as he addressed the GOP convention, ignoring noisy pleas from delegates and instead encouraging Americans to "vote your conscience" in November. In a surreal moment, Trump unexpectedly walked into the arena as Cruz was wrapping up his remarks. Delegates chanted Trump's name, then erupted in a chorus of boos when Cruz continued to resist their appeals. "Vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution," Cruz said. While he backed some of Trump's policy proposals, including building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, he mentioned the GOP nominee by name only once. Cruz's decision to accept a speaking role at the convention but not explicitly endorse Trump was remarkable, and underscored the deep divisions still coursing through the GOP. It also raised questions about why the Trump campaign invited Cruz to speak — in a headlining role, no less — without getting him to agree to an endorsement.

But the ruling said the lower court should make changes that disrupt this year's election season as little as possible.
