On Friday, Gander Mountain filed for bankruptcy, according to the Dallas Morning News.
The Lubbock store is one of the company's 10 stores closing in Texas.
Gander Mountain hopes to attract a buyer as they lower their operating costs as part of its restructuring.
The company expects to submit the winning bid to the bankruptcy court in Minnesota, in early May, for approval and expects the sale to be complete by May 15.
The Dallas Morning News reports the 10 stores in Texas closing are: Houston, Killeen, Laredo, Lubbock, Round Rock, San Antonio, Sugar Land, Texarkana, Waco, West Houston.
