Jakob Todd Plummer Obituary - Funeral Plans

Jakob Todd Plummer was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on December 5, 1996 to Amy (Geis) and Dustin Plummer. Jakob entered the Arenas of Heaven on Sunday, March 26, 2017 after a tragic accident. His mother, Amy, greeted him with open arms as she preceded him in death in 2007. A 2015 graduate of Petrolia High School, Jakob was active in FFA. While he had a love for many things outside, his real dreams were made in the arena, horseback, with a rope in his hand. He would spend hours outside roping the dummy, day or night, hot or cold. He was attending Vernon College on a rodeo scholarship with plans to pursue a career in Ranch Management. He was a very dedicated member of the Vernon Rodeo Team as a team roper. Where else could he go to a few classes, and spend the rest of the day roping. He was a member of the OTRC and USTRC.

Jakob was a man of many names, many smiles and many laughs. He was a loving grandson, brother, roping partner and teammate. He was a friend to people of all ages. He touched the hearts and lives of many, never met a stranger, and lived life to the absolute fullest. Jakob’s legacy would be to leave a lasting memory, that of which he has accomplished, a job well done.

Survivors include his brother, Ethan of Dean; grandparents, Randy and Deloras Plummer of Dean, Texas, Teresa Stockton of Wichita Falls, Debbie Kemp and husband David of Vernon, Texas and Everett Geis of Grove, Oklahoma; father, Dustin Plummer; Aunt, Mindi Flynn and husband Shannon and their sons, Parker and Karter of Vernon, Texas; Uncles, Jeff Geis of Wichita Falls and Jared Swadley of Addison, Texas; Half brother, Chayse and half sister, Saydi; great-grandparents, Virginia Stockton, Reba Reasor and Everett Geis.
