The family of Jakob Plummer, one of four Vernon College students injured in a crash in Haskell County, says he will not live much longer.
“Three different surgeons agree he cannot recover from this,” the family said in a Facebook post.
Plummer remained alive late Saturday morning, according to a spokeswoman at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
Plummer, two of his rodeo teammates and a fourth student, were on their way home from a roping event Saturday night. State Troopers say the driver, Yancie McCuistion, ran a stop sign at Business 277 and Hwy 277. His pickup truck, which was hauling a horse trailer, was hit by a motor home.
