Southbound traffic on Interstate 35 was snarled Thursday morning after an out of control car crashed and overturned in the main lanes of the roadway.
Police, fire and EMS units were sent at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday to Interstate 35, just south of the Brazos River Bridge where the first units on the scene found an overturned 4-door sedan resting on its top.
Police partially closed the southbound lanes while rescuers tended to an injured person and workers cleared the roadway of debris.
Medical personnel were treating one person at the scene but it wasn’t immediately known if the injured individual was taken to a hospital.
