Charles Moore Found Dead In Smith County Home

Smith County Officials are investigating after two bodies were found inside a residence Saturday afternoon.

According to officials, just after 1 p.m., they were called to the 10000 block of County Road 272, just outside of Tyler, after family members reported finding two bodies inside a residence.

"That was my brother Charles Moore. I don't know the lady that was in there I don't know her but they both was found dead by my sister," said Rev. Anderson Moore.

According to Sheriff Larry Smith, the bodies had been there for some time and had started to decompose. Moore said its uncommon for the tight knit neighborhood.

"This is the most violent thing I've seen out here," Moore said.

Jazzmyn Brown said she grew up in the neighborhood and had known Charles Moore her whole life.

"He was our entertainer actually as kids. He used to run down the street really fast. We looked forward to seeing him running back and forth down the street," Brown said.

Brown said many are still in shock but will remember Moore, not only as a neighbor but a friend.
