2 Bodies Found Floating In Separate Dallas Creeks

Dallas Police say they are investigating two separate incidents after two bodies were found floating in different creeks.

A witness called police at 11:26 a.m. Sunday morning after noticing a body floating in a creek near the 5700 block of Scyene Road.

Just 13 minutes later, officers responded to a call in the 3000 block of Rochester Street where a second body was seen also floating in a creek.

The two scenes are about 5 miles apart according to NBCDFW.

Dallas Police say the body found near Rochester Street is a white female. They are investigating this as a homicide, but have not said how she died. So far no identity has been released.

Extra Dallas Police officers patrolled around Rochester Lake and the surrounding park Sunday afternoon. For park-goers and police, it was an unusually quiet scene at an area that is normally crowded on summer Sunday afternoons.
