Curtis Goldman 4th of July Drowning In Comal River

NEW BRAUNFELS - A Universal City man is dead after drowning in the Comal River on Fourth of July holiday. The victim was identified as 47-year-old Curtis Goldman, who was reported missing by his family at approximately 5:20 p.m. on the Fourth of July after he was last seen going under the water. The New Braunfels Fire Department's dive team entered the water shortly after the call and searched until dark. The search was called off until the following morning. Goldman was discovered by a civilian snorkeler at 7:30 a.m. on July 5. The cause of drowning has been determined as accidental and no foul play is suspected.
