Alister James Hyder (4) Round Rock Drowning

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 4-year-old boy who died at a Central Texas hospital Monday.

WilCo deputies say on Monday, March 20th, deputies were dispatched to a residence located on the 3700 block Monument Drive in Round Rock, TX for a possible drowning.

When deputies arrived on scene, they observed medics loading a four-year-old child into an ambulance. EMS transported the child to Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, where he later died.

Deputies identified the child as Alister James Hyder.

According to a spokesperson for WilCo, the incident occurred in an above ground swimming pool in the backyard.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the investigation. Further details will be released as they become available. Source: KEYETV
