Driving 70 MPH In 35 Zone Killed 1 In Houston

A car crash, that slammed into a home and split a telephone pole, left a woman dead and five vehicles damaged on Saturday afternoon in northeast Houston.

According to the Houston Police Department, the crash happened on Tiffin Street near Broyles around 3:15 p.m

Police said although five cars were damaged, only two initially crashed while the others were parked.

A red pickup truck and a black car were traveling south on Broyles Street when the drivers lost control of their vehicles.

Police said both drivers were speeding in excess of 70 mph in a 35 mph zone.

The pick up truck swerved and hit the sedan causing the two cars to lose control, splitting utility pole and several trees. Eventually, the two cars slammed into three parked cars that were in front of a blue house before flipping upside down.
