Molly Matheson's Murder Has Shaken Fort Worth

Molly Matheson was found dead by her mother on Monday, April 10 in her home in the 2600 block of Waits Avenue, just two blocks from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.

After an autopsy conducted by the Tarrant County medical examiner, the death was ruled a homicide by strangulation, and an investigation is being conducted.

The 22-year-old was not a student at TCU, but the event has shaken up the neighborhood around the campus and university students alike.

"Until we find whoever did this, I think a lot of people will be on edge," Elise Vidaurri, a sophomore at TCU who lives nearby told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "There's a lot of young females and families who live over here."

People have begun to leave tributes on social media.
