Caused Death Of 2-Year-Old Son In Pflugerville

A Pflugerville man is accused of inflicting the injuries that led to his 2-year-old son's death last week.

According to the arrest affidavit, Raymundo Silva-Salas, 23, is charged with injury to a child (serious bodily injury), a first degree felony.

Court documents say on Wednesday, May 24, emergency responders went to a home in the 15000 block of Hyson Crossing for a call of a child not breathing. EMS performed CPR on the boy -- identified as Logan Silva -- and he was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead the next day.

Investigators say the child's caretaker had left him with his father to go to HEB. He later called her while she was at the store and told her the boy was coughing and choking. She headed back home and called 911 while on the way.
