Robert Yarbrough, N. Richland Hills, Fatal Crash

A man has died from injures he suffered in a crash Tuesday night when the driver of the vehicle he was in pulled the emergency brake on the Jim Wright Freeway and lost control, police said Thursday.

The driver may have been intoxicated, based on interviews with the passenger before he died.

The victim was identified as Robert Yarbrough, 32, of North Richland Hills. He was pronounced dead at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

The 20-year-old driver was issued a citation, but she also faces other charges in the case, police said.

The accident was reported shortly after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on North Loop 820 near Mark IV Parkway, just west of Interstate 35W in north Fort Worth.
