Seguin Murder-Suicide Discovered In Burned Down Home Monday Near I-10

Authorities in Seguin discovered an apparent murder-suicide while responding to a burning mobile home, officials said.

A passerby first reported the fire at the mobile home near Love's Travel Stop at Interstate 10 West and FM 477 around 4:45 a.m., according to a statement from the Seguin Police Department.

Police responding to the blaze discovered a suicide note placed on a fence outside the mobile home. Few details regarding the note were disclosed, but police said they believe that "one or more of the occupants of the mobile home were experiencing significant personal issues."

Firefighters later discovered two bodies in the mobile home, which authorities say was intentionally set on fire. Authorities have not identified the bodies.

Bruce Ure, Deputy Chief of Police for the Seguin Police Department, said officers have obtained a search warrant and will conduct a more thorough investigation inside the mobile home. MYSANANTONIO
